oh, the labors of a white wine monger in America. red still rules the table even out on the patio on a hot summer night. but try I must to get folks into the adventurous refreshment available in a pale companion to your meal. Godello is not a well-known grape here, but it is poised to breakthrough much like the other Galician white, Albariño, & Grüner Veltliner have accomplished over the last few years. Godellos are elegant wines full of coastal minerality and mild tingling citrus. The finish on this one is particularly patient and makes it a fabulous companion to ceviche, scallops or oysters.
