    Red Agave Restaurant is Eugene, Oregon’s must try culinary experience. At Red Agave we take full advantage of the fresh bounty grown, raised and caught in our part of the world. With these spectacular raw materials, we create a unique cuisine derived from daydreams of Oaxaca, Havana, Buenas Aires and myriad places in between. You’ll also find this blend of the familiar and the exotic, the innovative and traditional on our extensive cocktail list. For the wine drinkers we have assembled an adventurous list from around the spanish speaking world and the vineyards of Oregon.

    Quinta da Peza, Godello, Valdeorras, Spain 2007

    oh, the labors of a white wine monger in America. red still rules the table even out on the patio on a hot summer night. but try I must to get folks into the adventurous refreshment available in a pale companion to your meal. Godello is not a well-known grape here, but it is poised to breakthrough much like the other Galician white, Albariño, & Grüner Veltliner have accomplished over the last few years. Godellos are elegant wines full of coastal minerality and mild tingling citrus. The finish on this one is particularly patient and makes it a fabulous companion to ceviche, scallops or oysters.
